What does it cost to join?

There are several things that you will need to do prior to stepping on the mat. You will need a Judo Gi, which will range from $40 to $60 depending on your size. You will need to become a member of the East San Gabriel Japanese Community Center, cost is $75 annually. You will need to join the United States Judo Federation, for insurance purposes, cost is $50 per student annually. Here is the break down, you will need three different checks.

Check #1 - West Covina Dues, and Judo Gi
Quarterly Dues (First family member)$ 60.00
Additional family members                                                                      $ 30.00 each

Judo Gi (depending on size)       $ 40-$75.00

Total the appropriate amounts and make the check payable to West Covina Judo Dojo.

Check #2 - ESGVJCC Annual Membership
Make check payable to the East San Gabriel Japanese Community Center. You will be given an envelope and an application at the dojo to be completed.

Annual membership per family                                                               $ 75.00

Check #3 - United States Judo Federation Annual Membership
Make the check payable to "NANKA". You will be required to complete and sign a registration form at the dojo. This is for insurance purposes, and must be fully completed prior to begining.
